The parent company of Eastern Mountain Sports and Bob\'s Stores have filed for bankruptcy protection and are planning to close several New England bricks --and-

Vestis-based retail Group LLC said Monday the move was driven by increased competition from big companies
Box shops and online retailers, as well as unusually warm winters, have led to poor clothing sales in cold weather.
Dongshan Sports is an outdoor sporting goods store, while Bob\'s is a discounted footwear and clothing store.
The New England EMS store planned to be closed is located in Foxboro, Massachusetts;
Warwick, Rhode Island;
And West Hartford, Connecticut.
Bob is scheduled to close in South Portland, Maine.
If approved by the court, the company will go bankrupt, with 35 Bob\'s Stores and 53 in Dongshan District.
