When inspiration struck, Maya Amoa was immersed in the kaleidoscope of the West African Ghana market. On a months-

When she looked at Ghanaian craftsmen to make fabrics fashionable, she couldn\'t help but be impressed with their craft.
The problem is that the style they create, the nine-point tops and long dresses, is not what she really likes.
As a result, she purchased some fabrics, tied up with a seamstress who was able to interpret her vision, and began designing a range of contemporary costumes.
\"The fabric itself is considered quite traditional,\" Amoa said of the wax-printed batik fabric, which shows the style of batik in her new business.
But the actual design is very modern.
