headless bride from duct tape

Speaking of bridezilla. . .
I decided to be a corpse bride last Halloween because I had a great oh-so-
I can control the wedding dress in my 80 s (
Left over from the last theme party).
This dress is too epic for any dead old bride to do so, so I started looking for inspiration.
I really enjoyed the Love Bone headless Mary Antoinette costume in Make magazine, but I didn\'t have the material or skill to carve it like she did.
I made a lot of tape.
* For more information about me and the clothing I\'m currently working on, please check out my blog, department store:-
You don\'t mind changing a beautiful wedding dress (
When I finish this dress, it can easily return to the normal wedding dress with a little effort)-
A skirt or similar.
White opera gloves
Tight shirt (
You can never get it back. -
Small backpack of hardware store :-duct tape-masking tape-scissors-bamboo poles-white glue-paint brushes-paint-
Wire or hanger-paper towel-
Glue gun and hot glue (optional)
From your recycle bin :-newspaper-cardboard-
Margarine containers or similar round plastic objects-
Plastic bottles in your social circle :-
You don\'t mind walking very close to a good friend (
Ladies, when you are wrapped like a mummy, he or she will have to put his or her hand on your chest and choose your assistant wisely)
Put on your old shirt and have your friend wrap your torso with tape.
There are several good tutorials on the line to make the form of adhesive tape clothing: Line Magazine wikihow, even on instructable. Be very careful how you wrap your breasts!
If you don\'t want a flat-chest bride, be sure to work on the diagonal and don\'t squander your chest.
Let your assistant carefully smooth each tape while he/she is away.
This will make the next steps easier.
As you can see from the photo, I used a t-shirt.
In hindsight, I think it would be much easier if I wore long sleeves.
Ask your assistant to cut the tape and shirt carefully.
It\'s better to cut a straight line in the middle of your back.
Try not to cut off your bra while you are there.
Strip the tape dummy.
If it\'s not easy to slip off your arm, you can cut straight along your sleeve.
Put tape on the cut you made with more tape.
You have your own tape clone now!
I named my dummy.
Trim off the shirt and tape.
According to the cut of your wedding dress, you should not need it more than your neck, shoulders and chest.
A low-breast skirt requires a longer dummy.
You can finish the edges with more tape.
Once you have narrowed her size, you can use the newspaper to stuff her so that she will keep her shape when you work on her.
To add a little strength to the tape torso, you can cover it with a paper sleeve.
There are a lot of great guidance on how to tie the horse with paper, but I did this: cut the newspaper into small strips.
Dilute the white glue with warm water.
Dip the note into the glue, squeeze out most of the note and apply it.
Let it dry between layers.
Using a hair dryer can help speed up the process.
After several layers of paper twist, your torso should be hard and be able to maintain its shape without filling.
If you don\'t use a long-sleeved shirt, it\'s time to add some paper mache arms with the help of cardboard, newspapers and tape.
Don\'t worry too much about anything other than your elbow because you\'ll have gloves covering your forearm.
Apply a thick primer or white paint to your torso to cover up the newspaper.
I found it helpful to put her on a box.
The hair part now!
Fill the neck opening with something in the recycle bin: a coffee can, pop bottle or margarine container.
Fix it in place with tape or glue gun.
Don\'t push it all the way to the top, you\'ll want space for torn meat and all the fun stuff.
Use plastic caps or cardboard to make ends such as spine, trachea, jugular vein.
Dip it in a tissue or paper towel with white glue and scrub it to form a bloody texture.
Please consult some anatomical drawings if you need a little inspiration.
Draw exposed meat to match your skin tone and go crazy with bloody parts.
I was going to shoot the blood out of my neck with a spray gun, but I don\'t have time.
I would love to see the photos if you take additional steps.
Dress your bride in a wedding dress.
For her hands and arms, make the outline of the hand and forearm with a wire.
Fix the wires on the dummy and wear her opera gloves.
Put your hands in place so they look like they\'re holding your head.
You can fill your forearm with a batting or paper-filled glove.
Give her an extra point!
Take apart the seam at the waist of the skirt with scissors or a seam opener.
Open it and let your head slide over.
If it looks like the rest of the stitches will be untied, you can sew a few stitches on both sides of the opening to fix it.
Attach the bamboo pole to the inside of the trunk with tape.
Try to insert the pole into the backpack and then cut the bamboo to the right height to sit on your actual neck while wearing the backpack.
Your head should be comfortably placed in the chest of the dummy and in the hands of the bride.
It might be helpful to lie on the floor and try on a costume so you don\'t need an assistant to help you with your fitness.
Once the length of the bamboo poles is appropriate, you can fix them in the backpack with tape, or create a slip-in channel backpack for them by sewing two lines on both sides where they should fit. You\'re done!
Wear a crinoline and white vest to show off your incredible outfits!
Drop some fake blood in front of the skirt and wear a veil on the hair to finish the look.
Your real arms are usually hidden under the dress, but you can still get drinks easily whenever you want to break the illusion.
The tape torso is light and you can dance at night or do whatever you want.
I even bowling my costume!
If, like me, you are wearing 6\'2\' heels, this dress will make you very high.
When I got down on my knees, I found that group photos worked best, so it might be a good idea to wear a pair of knee pads.
